Mayor Domenic J. Sarno welcomed and thanked Suffolk Construction Company for their continued philanthropic support as they made a donation of much-needed winter coats for our Springfield public school students. Mayor Sarno was pleased to join with Chairman and CEO of Suffolk Construction John Fish and Vice Presidents Erin Murphy Rafferty and Pat Lucey and the Suffolk team along with our Springfield Public Schools Chief of Family & Community Engagement Jose Escribano and other schools staff and city our city facility team for Suffolk’s generous donation of hundreds of winter coats for our students.

Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank John Fish, Chairman and CEO of Suffolk Construction and his incredible team including Erin Murphy Rafferty and Pat Lucey, for their continued belief, investment and support of our Springfield.  Their very generous donation of 25 large bins full of winter coats for our students is very much appreciated and heartfelt.  My administration has worked in partnership with Suffolk Construction and Mr. Fish on a variety of programs and initiatives for years, including our previous partnership with Superintendent Daniel Warwick, former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and the Springfield Scholar Athletes (SSA) program with our Springfield Public Schools.  Once again, Mr. Fish and his team at Suffolk have offered to help our Springfield with this donation of winter coats for our students.  I cannot thank them enough for their continued support and generous giving during this holiday season.”
