Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Rosemary Saccomani, Register of Probate, along with retired First Justice for the Western Division of the Massachusetts Housing Court Judge Dina Fein, Springfield Housing Director Gerry McCafferty, Elder Affairs Director Sandy Federico, and President and CEO of Neighborhood Housing Services Jeff Hamilton for a special estate planning seminar at the Raymond A. Jordan Senior Center on Thursday morning. The presentation is made possible through a joint partnership with MassHousing Neighborhood Hub and Register of Probate Rosemary Saccomani, and is hosted by the City of Springfield Health and Human Services and Department of Elder Affairs.

It is important for families to have a will and understand the fundamentals of estate planning for their children and/or next-of-kin. I want to encourage everyone to learn more about our state laws so that they can better prepare and establish an estate plan for the unfortunate situation for when a loved one passed away.”
