City of Springfield’s Summer Aquatics to Begin July 1st

Splash into summer with the City of Springfield’s Summer Aquatics Program! City residents will have an opportunity to swim all summer-long for free at Forest Park Pool. The season begins on Friday, July 1st and ends Saturday, August 13th. We will be open every day of the week from 11:00am – 6:30pm.

City residents who wish to participate in the free summer public swimming at the Springfield pool, and do not have a valid pool pass, must pre-register and then obtain a free photo ID.  Each member of the family must have an ID card to swim.

If you have access to a computer, go to www.springfield-ma.gov/secure/pools-reg.0.html and register.  We will be issuing pool passes everyday this summer at Cyr Arena, right next to Forest Park Pool, from 10:00am – 6:00pm! If you do not have access to a computer, then simply come to Forest Park, and we will register you and your family for you.

We have to accommodate the entire City, so waiting lines might be cut early to ensure that we finish registration on time.

These past couple of years have been tough on us all. Do not let that stop you from enjoying your summer in a safe and fun environment for the entire family! After all, why just float through life, when you can swim? We look forward to seeing you at the pool this summer!

For more information, please call the Aquatics Director, at (413) 787-6298.
