Mayor Sarno Meets with Senator Gomez

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Chief of Staff Tom Ashe and Mayoral Aide Mini Marrero met today with State Senator Adam Gomez to continue discussions on how the state legislature can continue to support the efforts of the City of Springfield. Topics of discussion included economic development, job creation, infrastructure improvements, and housing.

Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank Senator Gomez for meeting with me and my staff and for his continued support of our efforts towards improving our Springfield.  Senator Gomez has been a strong advocate for our community in the state senate.  I am looking forward to joining with him and other state and local officials for the grand opening of our brand new and state-of-the-art Brightwood/Lincoln School in our North End community and the Springfield Police Department and Nancy Lieberman Basketball Court at Calhoun Park too.  There are more positive announcements to come and I look forward to joining with all of our stakeholders to announce these developments when the time comes.”
