Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined today with Baystate Health at their Mason Square Neighborhood Health Center to acknowledge and recognize National Health Center Week. Mayor Sarno presented a proclamation declaring the week of August 8-14, 2021 as “National Health Center Week” in the City of Springfield. State Representative Bud Williams and City Councilor Jesse Lederman also presented proclamations to recognize this important week.
Mayor Sarno stated, “It has been a surreal and challenging past 18 months as we have all worked together to defeat this COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. For those dedicated health care workers and those who continue to be on the front lines, the City of Springfield truly appreciates their dedicated, brave and compassionate efforts. A huge thank you goes out to everyone working in our neighborhood health centers as we celebrate, recognize and acknowledge National Health Center Week in the City of Springfield.”
Mayor Sarno added, “A special shout out to Mrs. Mable Sharif who’s been the heart and soul of this event for many years.”
