Mayor Sarno Meets with Pastor’s Council as Part of the Administrations Community Outreach on ARPA Funding and COVID-19 Efforts

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with State Representative Bud Williams for a Thursday evening meeting with the Pastor’s Council at Holy Trinity Church as part of the administrations continued community outreach and discussion on utilizing ARPA funding within our community. Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris, Chief Development Officer Tim Sheehan, Chief of Staff Tom Ashe and Mayoral Aide Lavar Click-Bruce were also in attendance.

Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank Pastor J.P. Morgan, Jr. of Holy Trinity C.O.G.I.C. for hosting this very productive discussion on how we can continue to work together for the betterment of all.  We had a very good discussion on the use of ARPA funding towards the seven categories my administration has identified to capitalize on to continue to move our City forward for everyone.  We also discussed the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and the new Delta variant that is adversely affecting our community.”

Those in attendance included:  Bishop Talbert Swan, Bishop James Gill, Bishop Leonard Naylor, Bishop Andrew Daubon, Archbishop Timothy Paul Baymon, Pastor Gail Hill (Civilian Community Police Hearing Board member), Reverend Will Naylor, Ron Johnson of MLK, City Council President Marcus Williams, Ward 4 City Councilor Malo Brown and School Committeewoman LaTonia Monroe Naylor.
