For 20 years, the Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog organization, has collected, analyzed, and published hospital data on safety, quality, and resource use in order to push the health care industry forward. In addition, they have helped trigger giant leaps forward in the safety, quality, and affordability of U.S. health care.

Those in attendance included, State Senator Adam Gomez, State Representatives Brian Ashe, Michael Finn and Jacob Oliveira, and officials from Mercy Medical Center and Trinity Health of New England.

Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to congratulation Mercy Medical Center and Trinity Health of New England on this accomplishment and recognition.  I know firsthand as their dedicated team took great care of my mom and dad within the hospital and rehab units.  A Leapfrog Grade A is a significant accomplishment and our Mercy caregivers deserve much recognition.”
