Mayor Sarno Joined with Associated Industries of Massachusetts for Commonwealth Conversations – A Mayor’s Panel: Getting Massachusetts Back One City at a Time

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and a panel of three other mayors joined with Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) for their Commonwealth Conversations: A Mayor’s Panel, for a discussion on the impacts of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic on their respective communities and what measures and initiatives are being implemented to get their local economy and workforce jumpstarted and ready to succeed post-pandemic.

Joining Mayor Sarno for this virtual dialogue was Mayor Kim Driscoll of Salem, Mayor Yvonne Spicer of Framingham, and Mayor Kendrys Vasquez of Lawrence.

Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank Brooke Thomson and her team at AIM for hosting this very informational and fun conversations with my fellow mayors Driscoll, Spicer, and Vasquez.  This COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic has been surreal and challenging for every community.  We have had to prioritize the public health and safety needs of our respective communities while balancing the growing relief and recovery needs of our residents and business community.  Thanks to the public and private partnerships we have built at the local, state, and federal levels, we were able to weather the storm of this pandemic and are now well positioned to capitalize on jumpstarting our local economies and getting our residents and businesses the resources needed to succeed.  ‘Hopefully we can now experience the roaring twenties minus the stock market crash of 1929!’”

AIM’s Commonwealth Conversations series is a set of quarterly virtual briefings on key political issues with key Massachusetts policy makers.  For more information visit www.aimnet.org
