Mayor Sarno and Veterans Services Meet with the Springfield Chapter of the National Association of Black Veterans

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Health and Human Services (HHS) Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris joined with Veterans Services Director Tom Belton and Deputy Director Joe DeCaro for a meeting with the Springfield Chapter of the National Association of Black Veterans (NABETS) to discuss their continued efforts to better serve the needs of our veterans in the greater Springfield area.

Those attending the meeting included Commander for the Springfield Chapter of NABVETS Anthony Francis, veterans Eugene Brice and Bernard McClusky, and Mayoral Aide Lavar Click-Bruce. 

Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank Commander Francis and veterans Eugene Brice and Bernard McClusky for taking time out of their day to meet with me.  Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris, Veterans Services Director Tom Belton and Deputy Director Joe DeCaro, and I are more than happy to offer and provide any assistance and direction we can for our proud and humble veterans.  We are looking forward to working together, along with our state and federal delegation, to provide the necessary resources needed to give our veterans the services that they need and deserve.”
