Mayor Sarno Continues FY22 Budget Hearings

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAFO) TJ Plante continued with the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) budget hearings today. Throughout this week, city Department Heads will be presenting their FY22 budget requests and will respond to questions from Mayor Sarno and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Budget hearings are scheduled to conclude Friday, April 9th, 2021.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the public budget hearings are being held virtually in partnership with Focus Springfield.  Those departments having a budget hearing today included:  Internal Audit, Mayor’s Office, Elections, Law, City Council, City Clerk.

Those attending the meeting were: Mayor Sarno; CAFO TJ Plante; Deputy CAFO Lindsay Hackett; Grants/Budget Director Melanie Acobe; Communications Director William Baker, City Solicitor Ed Pikula, Attorney Kathy Breck, Trish Ferrer, Attorney Lisa DeSousa, License Director Attorney Alesia Days, Director of Internal Audit Young No, Cecilia Goulet, City Clerk Tasheena Davis, Elections Commissioner Gladys Oyola, and Budget Analysts Erin Hand, and Chris Fraser.
