Mayor Sarno Attends St. Patrick’s Day Family Reunion Drive-Through Parade for Springfield Seniors at the Raymond A. Jordan Senior Center

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris and Elder Affairs Director Sandy Federico yesterday for a fun and festive St. Patrick’s Day family reunion drive through parade for our Springfield Seniors at our Raymond A. Jordan Senior Center.

Irish step dancers from The Black Rose Academy of Irish Dance gave a socially distanced performance and City Councilors Kateri Walsh and Jesse Lederman joined to greet to our seniors and their families and help pass out green carnations along with Mayor Sarno and our The Health and Human Services team, who provided treats and informational literature for the car parade attendees. Music, merriment and memories were made.

Mayor Sarno states, “Though we cannot be together in person during these extraordinary and unprecedented times, we remain together in spirit. Along with our Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris and Elder Affairs Director Sandy Federico, we were all so thrilled to see everyone during this family reunion parade for our seniors and we are all looking forward to the good times and memories we can share together as we continue to work to defeat this COVID-19 Coronavirus.”
