Mayor Sarno Joins Congressman Neal, Representative Williams, and PBRM Director Sullivan for Tour of Ruth Elizabeth Park Improvements

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Congressman Richard E. Neal, State Representative Bud L. Williams, and Executive Director of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management Patrick J. Sullivan for a tour of the renovation project progress at Ruth Elizabeth Park, located between Hancock and Walnut Streets in the City’s Maple High Six Corners neighborhood.

Federal grant money from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and $250,000.00 from a Community Development Block Grant enabled the open space urban trail project which will include a Connector Trail between 6 urban parks - Harriet Tubman, Donna Blake, Barrows, Gerrish, Johnny Appleseed and Forest Parks; an enhanced ADA accessible park entrance with walking path; and trail head amenities, such as signage and way finding to connect the area parks.
