Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and state and local officials joined with Sgt. Gumersindo Gomez, Executive Director of the Bilingual Veterans’ Outreach Center for the Puerto Rican flag raising ceremony on the City Hall steps today. Mayor Sarno declared the month of November 2020 “Puerto Rican Heritage Month” in the City of Springfield for the 31st annual celebration.
Congressman Richard Neal, State Representatives Carlos Gonzales and Jose Tosado, Ward 1 City Councilor and State Senator-elect Adam Gomez, Ward 8 City Councilor and State Representative-elect Orlando Ramos, City Councilor Jesse Lederman, School Committeewomen Maria Perez and Denise Hurst, and State Senator Eric Lesser also joined the celebration.
