Mayor Domenic J. Sarno has ordered all non-essential city services and municipal buildings to be closed until further notice due to a major water main break on East Columbus Ave and numerous power outages throughout the City.
The situation is being worked on ASAP.
The City of Springfield would also like to advise residents to shelter in place until further notice, if possible, to allow crews to clean up and repair, and for public health aspects.
