Mayor Sarno, Congressman Neal & Police Commissioner Clapprood Joined with Religious & Faith Leaders and Members of Our Community for Prayer Vigil

Today, Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Congressman Richard E. Neal, Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood, and other elected officials joined with religious and faith leaders as well as members of our community for a prayer vigil for healing and hope in the aftermath of the atrocious and tragic death of George Floyd and as peaceful movements are spreading across the nation calling for justice and reform.

Mayor Sarno stated, “I am so appreciative of Pastor Dr. Constant S. Cooley of United Temple Church of God in Christ and Pastor Eli Serrano of Restoration Worship Center for reaching out to me about coming together during these challenging times.  They read my mind, as I was thinking about this over the weekend.  Bringing us together as one not only during times of celebration but during challenging times as well.  Now more than ever, we need prayer and hope in our community and across our United States of America.”

“I always welcome this outreach and coming together in prayer for our city and nation and I thank all clergy from all faiths and denominations for joining us to pray for hope and healing,” Mayor Sarno added.
