Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, “After receiving early morning update reports from Chief of Staff Tom Ashe and Acting Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood, I have ordered Licensing Director Atty. Alesia Days, in the name of neighborhood public safety to call for a public safety review hearing on the shots fired incident at Moriarty’s Pub on Liberty Street in the early morning hours of Saturday. As I have done in the past with other troubled establishments, appropriate sanctions will be reviewed and considered all the way up to revocation of any and all licenses.
“Also of note, Saturday morning I visited with the residents of my neighborhood on Blake Street to reassure them of our continued police efforts on the targeted shooting incident that had occurred.”
