Springfield, MA - Mayor Domenic Sarno read and issued a formal National Foster Care Month Proclamation on Wednesday, May 8th at the Mason Square Branch at 11:00 am. The event was held to recruit and reach as many potential foster and adoptive families as possible as MA children deserve the best possible care.
For statistics: there are 2000 children in foster care in Western MA and 8800 children in foster care for the entire state of MA.
