Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer Timothy Plante released the Recommended FY 2017 budget of $616.8 million for the City of Springfield. The Mayor’s FY17 Recommended Budget includes funding for the continuation of important City services and programs, and resulted in no employee layoffs and is balanced without the use of stabilization reserves. The budget allows for strategic investment in public safety, economic development, public education and community services.
