December 8, 2011 – Mayor Domenic J. Sarno today announced the appointment of Douglas L. Macmillan to the City’s Election Commission.
Macmillan, a resident of Springfield’s Forest Park Neighborhood, is President of Macmillan and Son, Inc., a commercial, industrial and investment real estate brokerage, consulting and property management company.
Mayor Sarno expressed his appreciation to Macmillan for his willingness to serve stating that “every city board and commission plays a vital role in city government and I’m deeply appreciative of the time Doug will volunteer to help continue moving our City forward.”
The City’s Election Commission works with Election Commissioner Gladys Oyola and Election Office staff to ensure that elections are properly managed and conducted in accordance with city, state and federal laws.
