- Philanthropy Massachusetts is an association of philanthropic organizations with interest within Massachusetts. They can provide fiscal sponsorships to non-profit organizations, workshops and trainings and track non-profit funding throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with a specific focus on Gateway Cities like Springfield. - Massachusetts Attorney General's Non-Profit Organizations/Public Charities Division handles oversight of public charitable organizations in Massachusetts and investigating allegations of impropriety and/or initiating enforcement action in cases of breaches of fiduciary duty. - Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts provides annual, competitive, flexible grants to non-profit organizations in Western Massachusetts that assist with operating costs and provides training and other technical and financial resources for non-profit organizations. - City of Springfield, Office of Housing & Community Development provides annual, competitive funding utilizing U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to non-profit organizations for public service programming and for non-profit rehabilitation needs. The Office also partners with many community non-profit organizations to provide programming and services to the Springfield community.
