Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance
The City is now accepting FY27 applications for closings taking place in early to mid-July, 2026. PLEASE NOTE: we will likely not have access to funds before 7/17/2026, and will be unable to assist buyers who close before that date.
The Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance Program provides down payment and closing cost assistance of $10,000 - $20,00000 for income-qualified first-time homebuyers purchasing a home in Springfield. The homebuyer must use the home as the primary place of residence. The home may be 1-4 units.
