Opportunity Zones

Opportunity Zones

Opportunity Zones offer federal tax benefits on capital gains invested through a Qualified Opportunity Fund in designated low-income census tracts. Federal law made the program permanent in July 2025. A new round of designations takes effect January 1, 2027, with new rounds every ten years.
