City of Springfield Press Release Regarding the Medical Mariuana RFP/RFQ
PHASE II SCHEDULE
Beginning in 2016, the City of Springfield utilized a two phase RFP/RFQ process for the selection of a firm(s) to operate a Medical Marijuana Dispensary within the City. The City has developed a reasonable approach to what is a relatively new industry and form of land use within the Commonwealth. It is the intention of the City to gather and properly examine essential data to accurately assess the impact(s) of a use such as a Medical Marijuana Dispensary. As such, the City is not currently accepting additional proposals for the operation of Medical Marijuana Dispensaries.
