at which time the bids will be privately opened and logged in the Office of Procurement. RFP documents will be available beginning January 22, 2024 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website www.springfieldcityhall.com for no charge.
The City of Springfield through its Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management is seeking proposals from a qualified Child Recreation Services Provider (whether for profit or non-profit) to operate, manage and maintain a recreational summer day camp for children at Camp Wilder, Parker Street, Springfield, Massachusetts. This is a request for proposals (RFP) per M.G.L. c. 30B § 6.
The RFP is for a qualified, experienced individual or firm to organize and operate a summer day camp serving approximately 100 campers per week for a six (6) week summer camp program between the ages of 7 and 14 at Camp Wilder, Parker Street, at the following possible locations: Central High School, Forest Park, Hubbard Park, Greenleaf Park, Van Horn Park, and/or Nathan Bill Park, as to be determined by the City. The initial term of the Contract shall be for One (1) year, with Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) no later than 1/29/24 by 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The City of Springfield reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
