at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide renovation to Kenefick Park ball courts, 320 Plainfield Street, Springfield, MA 01107. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.

Work includes bituminous concrete pavement, acrylic sport court surfacing, fencing, installation of owner-supplied athletic equipment, and furnishings, and site restoration. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $350,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on December 6, 2023.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on December 13, 2023 at 3:00 PM on site. Anja Duffy, GZA, will be the contact person (Phone 413-726-2116; anja.duffy@gza.com). All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than December 20, 2023 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety and Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
