at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide Asbestos and Haz-Mat Removal at the Indian Orchard Fire Station in Springfield, MA 01151. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.
Work includes, but is not limited to: asbestos abatement, hazardous material removal, and associated materials removal as designated in the Contract Documents. All work shall be performed by a Massachusetts licensed Asbestos Abatement Contractor in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Estimated value of the contract is approximately $100,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on November 22, 2023.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on November 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at 95 Oak St, Springfield, MA 01151. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than November 30, 2023 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer or designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
