Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement, Room 307, City Hall, 36 Court St., Springfield, MA 01103 until 2:00PM EST on March 24, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Work will include installation of sediment and erosion controls, tree removal, clearing and grubbing, earthwork site layout, drainage, stone dust surface trail, installation of owner-furnished site furnishings and landscaping.

Project is estimated not to exceed $300,000.00. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for March 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Camp STAR Angelina, 300 Trafton Rd, Springfield MA. Anja Duffy, PLA will be the contact person (413-726-2116, anja.duffy@gza.com). Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit.

The successful bidder must agree to pay MA Prevailing Wage and/or Davis-Bacon wage rates whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke and or reject, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
