At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFQ documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning October 26, 2022, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com.
The City of Springfield seeks qualifications from qualified Architects/Designers to perform design services for the project entitled; “Feasibility, Survey, and Designer Services for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Funded School Building Alterations”.
The Scope of services will include, but will not be limited to, working with DPBRM and Springfield Public School (SPS) stakeholders to evaluate the feasibility of numerous potentially planned and to be planned projects, and develop preliminary conceptual designs and initial feasibility study for projects arranged by priority. These conceptual documents will be used to support SPS/DPBRM applications to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (“DESE”) for approval of expending ESSER allocated funding.
There is no site visit/walkthrough/pre-bid conference associated with this portfolio of potential projects.
The Design Fee is to be a fixed fee, not to exceed 10% of the Estimated Construction Cost, which is $1,500,000.00. This RFQ will be conducted pursuant to M.G.L. Ch. 7C§§44-57. Proposers must submit written questions no later than November 10, 2022 at 4:30 P.M. Questions may be faxed or emailed (nwalker@springifeldcityhall.com).
All Proposals becomes the property of the City of Springfield. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent (20%) minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts.
