at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide the modification/renovation of Van Sickle Middle School, 1170 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104, for a life skills classroom and for the dedicated entrance for a program operating within the school. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.
Estimated value of the contract is approximately $100,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com or in person at the Office of Procurement (during normal business hours) beginning on August 30, 2022.

There will be a MANDATORY SITE VISIT on September 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Van Sickle Middle School, 1170 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than September 8, 2022 by 4:00 P.M. (hbutton@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer or designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
