Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement, Room 307, City Hall, 36 Court St., Springfield, MA 01103 until 2:00PM EST on June 1, 2022, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Improvements to Atwater Park include tree work, grading, sediment and erosion control, paving and surfacing, irrigation, site utilities (water and electrical), installation of owner-furnished fountain base and site furnishings, lighting, irrigation, and landscaping.

Project is estimated not to exceed $135,000.00. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for May 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Atwater Park, at the corner of Cunningham Street and Springfield Street, Springfield MA. Anja Duffy, PLA will be the contact person (413-726-2116, anja.duffy@gza.com). Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit.

The successful bidder must agree to pay Davis Bacon wage rates or MA Prevailing Wage rates whenever applicable. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by May 20, 2022, 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered (contact; hbutton@springfieldcityhall.com).
