at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to provide acoustical ceiling repairs for the Springfield Police Headquarters, 130 Pearl Street. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.

Work includes, but is not limited to: removal and disposal of existing acoustical tiles and replacing with new ones in selected areas of Police Headquarters. In some instances, the existing grid will need to be modified or replaced to accommodate the new tile. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $75,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfield-ma.gov (during normal business hours) beginning on December 15, 2021.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

It is strongly encouraged to attend a SITE VISIT on 12/28/21 at 9:00 A.M. on-site. All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement on or before December 29, 2021 by 4:30 P.M.
