at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning September 27, 2021, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B section 5 and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield through its Department of Parks, Buildings and Recreation Management- Facilities Division, is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into a price agreement for the purchase and delivery of various Plumbing Supplies, on an as-needed basis. The City intends to award one (1) contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder offering the best price. The contract is estimated to be a value of $500,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City sole discretion.

All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement on or before October 6, 2021 at 4:30 P.M. (sduncan@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
