at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning August 03, 2021, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B § 5 and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested goods, to submit bids for the purchase and delivery of Ameripak (R) food tray packing machine parts, services, and equipment on an as needed basis.

The City intends to award one (1) contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The estimated value shall not exceed $500,000.00 per year. The term of this contract will be for Three (3) years.

All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement in writing on or before August 13, 2021 by 4:30 P.M.(sduncan@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
