at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read via teleconference. Call in Number: (413) 784-4951, ID# 312372#. This bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30§ 5 and other applicable procurement statutes. The City intends to award a single contract to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. There is no installation or construction contemplated under this solicitation.

The City of Springfield is rehabilitating its Watershops Pond Dam. The project site is located off Allen Street and Hickory Street, within the industrial complex known as “The Watershops,” which originally was a part of the U.S. War Department’s Springfield Armory. The Work is for designing, furnishing, and early-delivery of a new crest gate, two (2) new low-level slide gates, and a new hydraulic operating and control system for all three gates.

Contract is estimated not to exceed $600,000.00. An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 6/15/20 a, on-site at Watershop’s Pond. Please contact Tom Jenkins thomas.jenkins@gza.com for directions/site visit details.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up at www.biddocsonline.com on June 10, 2020, (may be viewed electronically and hard copy requested) or at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $50.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocs ONLINE Inc. to cover mail handling costs.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by June 16, 2020 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
