at which time the bids will be publically open and read in the Office of Procurement.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to furnish and install the structural steel for RTU replacement at the Balliet Elementary School at 52 Rosewell Street in Springfield, MA. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other procurement statutes.
Work includes the supply and installation of structural steel to support the installation of new roof top units (RTU). The City will be providing and installing the RTUs. This bid is specifically for the supply and installation of the structural steel to support the change in weight. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $75,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on May 18, 2020.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. There will be an optional sited visit on May 20, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. on site at the school.

All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement on or before May 27, 2020 by 4:30 P.M. (sduncan@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered.
