at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning October 16, 2019 at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.

The City is seeking qualified vendors to perform as needed repairs and replacements of springs and suspension components for DPW fleet vehicles. Services will be requested based on need. The City intends to award a single contract for these services to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract(s) is $75,000.00 per year. The initial term of this contract will be for One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by October 31, 2019 at 4:30 P.M (kvegh@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies.

The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
