20-021 - On-Call Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning/Inspection Services

Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning July 29, 2019 at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30B and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City is seeking qualified on-call Contractors for commercial kitchen hood cleaning/inspection services for commercial cooking hoods. All Cleaning and inspections must meet NFPA Code 96, as well as any and all Local Fire Codes and requirements. Contractor is to provide all materials, supplies, parts, etc. on an on-call basis as determined by the Springfield Public School Department.

The City intends to award a contract to the Contractor that is the lowest responsible and eligible bidder(s). The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $50,000.00 per year. The initial term of the contract awarded is One (1) year, but will include Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’ sole discretion.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement by August 5, 2019 at 4:30 P.M. (sduncan@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
