within the City of Springfield

at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement Bid Room.
Bid documents will be available May 13, 2019 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website (www.springfieldcityhall.com).

The Springfield DPW is seeking bids from qualified and experienced firms for containerized solid waste collection and disposal services from certain condominium sites within the City. The specific sites are listed in the bid specifications. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $80,000.00 per year. The initial term of the contract awarded is One (1) year in length, and the City will retain Two (2) one-year in length renewal options. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c.30B § 5.

A 5% bid bond will be required with bid submissions. A 50% Performance Bond will be required from the awarded firm. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts.

All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than May 20, 2019 by 4:30 P.M. to Erin Hand at ehand@springfieldcityhall.com .The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
