at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning May 16, 2018, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting. The services included in this bid will fall under M.G.L. Ch. 149 and other applicable procurement statutes.

The City is seeking bids for qualified Contractor to furnish and install new fixtures, trim, piping, floor drains, and valves as indicated on the drawings. The fixtures include water closets, lavatories, urinals, carriers, floor drains, trap primers, flush valves, faucet sets, access panels, shock arrestors, ball valves, and isolation valves at each fixture connection for individual shut-off. Install all fixtures in strict accordance with Massachusetts Fuel Gas and Plumbing Code and local regulations and statutes.

The estimated value of the contract(s) shall not exceed $50,000.00.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement by May 23, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield’s goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
