Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management Facilities Division
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on May 2, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Furnish and Install Backup Emergency Generator Installation at 233 Allen Street. The City of Springfield Massachusetts (the “City”) through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management (“DPBRM”) is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to install a new emergency back-up generator at SPS Information Technology Data Center at 233 Allen St. in Springfield, MA. Estimated cost of the project is $85,000.00.
A Site Visit has been scheduled for 4/11/18 at 11:00A.M. at 233 Allen Street (as listed in Central Register Document. Further Site Visits can be made by appointment (Contact: Matthew Dovell- (413) 787-6582.
Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning April 12, 2018, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement (ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com) by 4/25/18 at 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply. This project is governed by the City of Springfield Responsible Employer Ordinance. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
