at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning April 20, 2018, at the Office of Procurement from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Please refer to the bid number and opening date when requesting.

The Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management, Facilities Division, is seeking Contractors to Turf Sprinkler Management and Maintenance services at various City locations. The Contract will be a price agreement for an as needed, on-call basis.

The City intends to award a contract to up a Single vendor that is the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The estimated value of the contract(s) is One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) per year (if awarded to one vendor). The City will retain Two (2) one-year renewal options to be exercises at its sole discretion.

All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement at least seven business days prior to bid opening, or April 27, 2018.The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Prevailing Wage rates may apply.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
