Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Parks Division
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 30§39M as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM EST on March 22, 2018, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Improvements to Leonardo Da Vinci Park (Phase II). The park is located at 22 Morris St. Springfield MA. Work includes but is not limited to replacement of benches and picnic tables, installation of water supply system lines, installation of irrigation, and the supply and institution of various landscape materials.
Project is estimated not to exceed $49,500.00 Dollars in total cost. All work must be completed by June 1, 2018. Permits to be obtained by contractor from Springfield Water and Sewer Commission.
An optional Site Visit has been scheduled for 3/9/18 at 11:00 A.M, on-site. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Contact Mike Tully at mtully@springfieldcityhall.com for questions regarding the site visit.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up in person at the Office of Procurement of through the City’s website during normal business hours free of charge
Contractor must agree to pay Davis Bacon wage rates whenever applicable. Project is HUD/CDBG funded. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by March 9, 2018, (contact; ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com). The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
