Bid No. 18-027; Replacement of Chiller at Chestnut Middle School

Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 and other applicable statutes. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $100,000.00.

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on September 26, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Replacement of existing Chiller Tower at Chestnut Middle School, located at 355 Plainfield Street. The City is requesting bids for the replacement of existing chiller tower at Chestnut Middle School. Work included but is not limited to select demolition, HVAC and electrical work. All work will coincide with the drawings and technical specifications provided. Bidders will be required to pay Prevailing Wages whenever applicable.

Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for September 7, 2017 on site at Chestnut Middle School at 11:00 A.M. (Contact- Matthew Dovell; 413-787-6582).

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website at www.springfieldcityhall.com for no charge beginning 8/30/17.

Al questions must be submitted in writing and sent to the Office of Procurement in order to be considered. All questions must be in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 9/13/17 at 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
