At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFP documents and specifications will be available beginning on April 6, 2017 in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com during normal business hours for no charge.

The City of Springfield School Department is seeking proposals for a vendor to provide security monitoring for multiple facility locations utilizing the currently installed security equipment. This RFP allows for minimal alteration and installation of new equipment for the current system to allow the vendor to properly monitor and control the system. This is not an RFP for new security equipment projects and is solely for monitoring.

This bid is for monitoring only, but allows for any new configurations that must take place for the vendor to utilize the current security equipment.

The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $250,000.00. The initial term of the contract shall be One (1) year in length, and the City will retain Two (2) one-year in length renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.

All questions must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than April 13, 2017 at 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
