Bid No. 17-126; Painting at Glenwood Elementary School
Department of Capital Asset Construction and the Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $75,000.00.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on April 14, 2017, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Painting at Glenwood Elementary School. Painting of interior vertical walls in hallways, stairwells, and classrooms from the floor to the upper trim just below the ceiling and as designated throughout the school. Mechanical, storage, or custodial spaces will not be included. Minor wall patching of some holes no larger than 3” in diameter.
Bidders will be required to pay Prevailing Wages whenever applicable. Bidders will be required to submit a 50% Payment Bond, based on total contract price.
Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for April 5, 2017, on site at Glenwood School, 493 Parker Street, at 10:00 A.M.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up in person at the Office of Procurement or through the City’s website at www.springfieldcityhall.com for no charge.
Al questions must be submitted in writing and sent to the Office of Procurement in order to be considered. All questions must be in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 4/7/17 at 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
