I. Date of Solicitation for Quotes

A. Available: March 3, 2017

B. Quote Submission Due Date/Time: Written quotes will be accepted until March 29, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. EST. Quotes must be in writing and should be emailed to: jcarignan@springfieldcityhall.com, CC: ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com.

II. Description of Goods/Services:

A. The Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division (Parks) is issuing this quotes solicitation for replacement of an existing curtain wall frames entrance way with two pairs of double doors at the High School of Science and Technology. The rough opening measurements are 277” by 180” approximate with a gap in the middle.

B. The City specifies the following materials:

Kawneer 1600 2-1/2” x 7-1/2” clear anodized (or approved equivalent)
1” tempered LoeE units
Wide stile doors with 12” pulls and Von Duprin 99 rim panics, LCN closers, and removable mullions between.
Far left door to have electric strike.
Doors must meet or exceed building code/ MAAB standards for egress width
All glass must be cleaned and all stickers removed following installation.

C. Site Visit/Walkthrough

There will be a site visit, on-site at the High School of Science and Technology on 3/17/17 at 9:30 A.M. Site Visit Contact: Matthew Dovell, available at 413-787-6582.

III. Questions/Clarifications

A. All Questions must be made in writing and must be received no later than 3/22/17, 4:30 P.M.

IV. Contract Details

A. The Total amount of the contract awarded through this solicitation shall not exceed an amount of Forty Five Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($45,000.00).

B. The term of this contract shall not exceed One (1) year in length.

The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
