Bid No. 17-065; Roof Repairs of 13-31 Elm Street

Department of Public Works and Office of Planning and Economic Development

Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the State Division of Capital Asset Management in the category, “Roofing.” Estimated Value of the contract is $135,000.00

Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on December 8, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Roof Repairs to 13-31 Elm Street. Work includes but is not limited to; Selective demolition, maintenance of unit masonry, pipe and tube railings, miscellaneous rough carpentry, sheathing, asphalt shingles, EPDM membrane roofing, sheet metal flashings and trim, roof accessories, joint sealants, hollow metal doors and painting, as well as some hazardous materials abatement. Bidders will be required to pay Prevailing Wages whenever applicable.

Site Visit: Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit scheduled for November 17, 2016, on site at 13-31 Elm Street at 11:00 A.M.

Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up at www.biddocsonline.com on November 10, 2016 (may be viewed electronically and hard copy requested) or at Nashoba Blue, Inc. at 433 Main Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (978-568-1167).

Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to BidDocs ONLINE Inc. to cover mail handling costs.

Al questions must be submitted in writing and sent to the Office of Procurement in order to be considered. All questions must be in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than 11/22/16 at 4:30 P.M. in order to be considered. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to revoke, any or all bids, if in the public interest to do so.
