Bid No. 16-192; Removal of Fuel Oil Storage Tank and Site Restoration – Beal Elementary School
Department of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management- Facilities Division
Sealed bids for a Prime Contractor contract are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes.
Bids for Prime/General Contractor will be accepted at the Office of Procurement (Room 307 City Hall) until 2:00PM on May 27, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
Project consists of removal of Fuel Oil Underground Storage Tank at Beal Elementary School. Contractor will be responsible for removal, disposal and remediation of hazardous materials, as well as site work. Detailed plans of the area will be distribute at the site walk and will be available from the email address above. Estimated cost of the project is $25,000.00.
A Site Visit has been scheduled for 5/11/16 at 3:30 P.M. On-site at Beal School in Springfield. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit.
Bid documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning May 10, 2016 in person or by contacting the Office of Procurement during normal business hours or through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com.
All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement by May 20, 2016, 4:30 P.M. The City of Springfield goal of twenty (20%) MWBE participation applies. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
