At which time the Proposals will be privately opened and read. RFQ documents and specifications will be available at no charge beginning April 6, 2016 at 9:00 AM at the office of Procurement or through the City’s website for no charge.

Project Description: The City is seeking design services of a qualified Designer, as defined in M.G.L. Ch. 7C, §44-57, to provide professional design and construction administration services for the integration of the sprinkler and fire alarm system witches for the system at White Street Elementary School.

The project cost for this project is estimated to be an amount not to exceed $149,000.00, depending on the solution that is agreed to between the City and Designer. Designer Fee will be negotiated, not to exceed 10% of ECC. Target date for all work to be completed is August 2016.All interested parties should attend a briefing session/site walk through at the White Street Elementary School (300 White Street, Springfield, MA 01108) scheduled for April 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

All questions must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than April 19, 2016 to be considered. All Proposals becomes the property of the City of Springfield. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts.

The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
