16-092 - Secuirty Guard Services for Five (5) Branch Libraries
End date: Tuesday November 17, 2015 at 2 p.m.The City of Springfield Library Department is seeking responses from qualified bidders for security guard services at five (5) branch libraries. The contractor will provide all labor and equipment necessary to provide the required services for the following locations, days, and times. The awarded contract will include the following locations:
Brightwood Branch, 359 Plainfield St., Forest Park Branch, 380 Belmont Ave, Indian Orchard Branch, 44 Oak St, Mason Square Branch and RWN/Pine Point Branch
The Contractor for branch library guard services shall be for a three (3) year term commencing on January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016, with options to renew for up to two (2) additional one-year terms. The City shall retain sole discretion in the exercise of each option to renew. The Contractor may be allowed to increase pricing before each extension period. The Contractor will be requested to submit evidence to justify the price increases especially if the increase exceeds the most recently published CPI.
Contractor must be willing to sign the standard contract of the City of Springfield. The terms of the bid will be incorporated into the contract document.
The awarded Contractor must have been in the business of unarmed security guards. The successful bidder must demonstrate satisfactory performance for a minimum of at least (5) years preceding this IFB of handling public, non-profit, or governmental accounts similar to those described in the specifications. Previous experience from bidder with libraries, public offices, and/or customer service is highly desired and will be factored in the decision making process.
The Bidder must provide three (3) commercial or governmental client references for whom bidder provides similar services as those described. It is required that the references be from clients or customers to whom the goods and services were provided within three (3) years from this IFB due date. One (1) of the references must be from a previous or current library client whom the contractor has provided similar services. Bidders must state the name of the organizations, address, telephone number and contact person. If a Bidder receives an unfavorable reference recommendation it may result in a Bidder being disqualified.
